Our Plan
KCA has been steadily planning and working towards raising renovation funds through grants and individual donations of money and time throughout 2023. The estimated cost will run around $150,000. KCA has received $21,179 through Grants. So far, $11,956 has been spent on repairs & renovations. It's wonderful but far from the goal of funds needed to complete all that must be accomplished. There are "holes" on the outside of the building allowing rain water to get inside the walls.
KCA is also seeking donations through several fundraisers. Thank you to everyone who has so generously contributed so far.

Interior...
The 20 year old carpeting in the Dining Room and Parlor and the kitchen linoleum was replaced in August. An HVAC system needs to be installed and the inside of the school is in great need of painting. The kitchen appliances are quite old and need to be replaced--stove & oven. There are also upgrades and renovations that are needed in the Kitchen & Bathrooms. New lighting fixtures in the Dining room and Parlor. It will be a wonderful thing to get everything repaired and sparkly.
Exterior...
Thankfully, new gutters have been installed around the building. Next step, is removing a lot of siding that has dry-rot, especially around many windows, that must be removed and all the wood replaced. There is also structural damage inside the walls. After all the dry-rot has been taken care of, then painting the whole building, including 2 sheds must be done.
